About Almost Home Kids
Almost Home Kids provides a Transitional Care Program for children with complicated health care needs who
are ready to be discharged from a hospital but for whom preparations at home need to be made. In a comforting,
home like setting, children receive 24-hour medical and nursing support from skilled pediatric nurses. Almost Home
Kids trains families to both care for their children who are medically fragile and prepare the home for the arrival of
their child.
The Respite Care Program at Almost Home Kids offers children a comfortable place to stay with access to medical
and nursing support while their parents/caregivers tend to personal or family issues. The Respite Transportation
Program provides roundtrip transportation for children from their home to an Almost Home Kids facility.
