About Borris Powell
 
Luxury in woman's fashion has a new name-Borris Powell.  Born in Alabama, the passionate designer developed his dreams of a career in woman's fashion early on in life.  Throughout his childhood, while observing his mother preparing for a night out on the town or even a Sunday visit to church, he trained his young eyes on color and silhouette. 
 
Powell followed his dreams and moved to Chicago to start his design career in 1997.  His trademark silhouettes have comforting familiarity of his early authentic memories mixed with a chick nod to high-end city life.
 
Romantic, elegant and with a seductive sensibility, Powell's designs are perfect for any venue.  His sole focus is on his clients.  "I try to keep things simple while constantly staying true to my work, myself, and the women I design for. 

About Sophia Forero
 
Sophia Forero's eye for color, texture, and design, stems from her love of history and wide experience of international culture.  After earning her Master's Degree at University of Chicago, she worked for the US Peace Corps, teaching and traveling throughout Eastern Europe.  Sophia went on to see the world, gathering inspiration and materials from which she began to craft fine jewels.  She learned seven languages, helping her communicate with artisans from all over the globe, including Russia, Mexico, and Greece.  Sophia Forero is featured in over 300 fine boutiques and specialty stores in the US including Bloomingdale's and Macy's. Sophia's pieces are on the red carpet actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Vivica Fox, Keiko Agena, and Nia Vardalos are just a few who enjoy her work.  Sophia's pieces have appeared in films such as SHOPGIRL and are worn by the women of CNN. Sophia is a proud mother of four.  She works alongside her husband in their joint jewelry studio outside Chicago.
